What Can Cause Rollover Crashes?
Rollover crashes can occur when a vehicle loses stability due to sudden changes in direction, impacts with other vehicles, roadway conditions, or loss of control. These crashes can be more complex than typical collisions because vehicle movement may continue after the initial impact.
Investigators reviewing a rollover crash often examine vehicle damage, roadway conditions, driver actions, and the sequence of events leading up to the incident. Factors such as speed, turning movements, tire conditions, and surrounding traffic may also be considered.
Multi-vehicle crashes can involve multiple points of impact, requiring a review of evidence from the entire scene. Photos, witness accounts, and vehicle inspections may help provide a clearer picture of how the collision happened.
