Paducah, KY (August 20, 2026) – Two men were injured on Monday, August 17, in a two-vehicle crash at Lebanon Church Rd and Old U.S. 45 in McCracken County. The vehicles involved were a white 2011 Lexus SUV and a black 2008 Ford Mustang, both of which sustained severe damage.
According to the initial report, Chase Barnes, 24, of Kevil, was driving east on Lebanon Church Rd when he failed to stop at the stop sign at Old U.S. 45. Christopher Hopkins, 51, of Melber, was traveling south on Old U.S. 45 when the Mustang crossed into his path, leaving him unable to avoid the collision.
Both vehicles left the roadway, and Barnes was ejected from the Mustang. Both drivers were taken to a local hospital with incapacitating injuries, while the intersection remained closed for nearly two hours. Investigators are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
