Sacred Heart Township, MN (September 4, 2026) – Two drivers were injured after a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, September 2, on Highway 212 at County Road 12 in Sacred Heart Township, Renville County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2003 Toyota Camry was traveling westbound on Highway 212. A 2023 Ford Explorer was also traveling westbound on Highway 212 and was making a turn near County Road 12 when the vehicles collided.
The Camry’s driver, 42-year-old Teresa Lee Abernathy of Sacred Heart, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to North Memorial Hospital. The Explorer’s driver, 60-year-old Carrie Lee Jeseritz of Wood Lake, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Granite Falls Hospital.
No alcohol involvement was suspected, and the roadway was dry at the time of the crash.
The Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Sacred Heart MRU, Sacred Heart Fire, Granite Falls Ambulance, and North Air Care assisted at the scene.
