Marion, IA (May 28, 2026) – Two people were injured on Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of East Post Road and Lakeside Road in Marion. Authorities said the collision was reported at approximately 2:36 p.m.
According to the police, an Audi traveling northbound on East Post Road struck the rear of a Chevrolet Traverse after failing to maintain a safe stopping distance. The force of the collision caused the vehicles’ airbags to deploy.
Both drivers were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, but their identities were not released. Investigators are continuing to review the circumstances surrounding the wreck.
