Dixon, CA (September 8, 2026) – Police are investigating a crash that killed a Dixon woman and a Vacaville man on eastbound Interstate 80 near the State Route 113 interchange Sunday afternoon, September 6. The crash happened around 12:28 p.m.
A 2011 Infiniti FX35 left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck an embankment along the right shoulder. The 56-year-old Dixon woman driving the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 65-year-old passenger from Vacaville suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead while being taken to a local hospital.
A witness reported that the driver appeared to be asleep shortly before the SUV left the roadway. Investigators are also examining whether alcohol, drugs, or a medical emergency may have contributed to the crash.
