Summit, KY (August 6, 2026) – A fatal accident involving a pickup truck and trailer occurred on Tuesday morning in the 5600 block of Route 60 in the Summit community of Boyd County.

The accident happened shortly before 10:30 a.m. on August 4. A pickup truck towing a trailer loaded with lawn-mowing equipment was traveling toward Ashland when it left the right side of the road, crossed a grassy area, and went airborne before striking a parked excavator at a business.

The driver, identified as 27-year-old Jonathan Wolfe of Rush, and passenger 23-year-old George Timothy Matthew Bundy of Ashland, died from their injuries. Both were pronounced dead at the site.
