Phoenix, AZ (August 25, 2026) – Two men were extricated from a vehicle and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a serious crash at 19th Avenue and Thomas Road Monday morning, August 24 according to Phoenix police. The crash was reported around 11:15 a.m. A woman in another vehicle was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The intersection was closed while crews worked. We hope all three have a full recovery.

Whether someone can exit a vehicle on their own comes down to how the vehicle’s frame deformed during the crash, rather than the severity of the person’s injuries alone.
