Aurora, CO (September 10, 2026) – Two police officers were injured on Tuesday after their patrol vehicle was involved in a collision at Peoria Street and Yale Avenue. The officers were responding to a separate call with their lights and sirens activated when the crash occurred.
The patrol vehicle overturned during the collision. Both officers were taken to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured and was later detained on suspicion of driving under the influence. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision remains ongoing.
