Coachella, CA (August 25, 2026) – A crash involving two vehicles was reported on Monday morning, August 24, on the southbound SR 86 at 66th Avenue. The incident was first reported around 4 a.m.
The CHP incident log identified a Kia vehicle in the automated crash notification. Two vehicles were involved, and both were reported disabled following the collision. Cal Fire was dispatched to the scene, and two tow services were requested to remove the damaged vehicles. An additional tow was later requested as crews continued handling the crash.
A person was also reported to have been transported. The available report classified the incident as a traffic collision with injuries but did not provide details on the injured person’s condition. We are thinking of those affected.
