Phelps County, MO (August 22, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision at Highway 72 and County Road 5285 in Phelps County left a 59-year-old man seriously injured on Thursday afternoon, August 20. The incident was reported around 3 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 19-year-old Rolla man was driving a Ford F-150 westbound when he failed to yield and collided with a Chevrolet Impala traveling eastbound. The 59-year-old Eminence man driving the Impala suffered serious injuries.
The injured man was transported by Phelps Health Air to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, with more information expected to be released later, and we hope the injured man makes a full recovery.
