South Harbor Township, MN (July 7, 2026) – A collision involving two vehicles took place on Monday morning, July 6, at the intersection of Highway 169 and Highway 27 in South Harbor Township. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the collision occurred around 7:17 a.m.
A 2021 Lexus RX was traveling south on Highway 169 while a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling east on the crossover for Highway 27. The vehicles collided in the intersection. The Lexus driver, 69-year-old Mary Jo Erdman of New Brighton, and the Silverado driver, 45-year-old Christopher William Massmann of Saint Augusta, were both reported without injuries.
Airbags were deployed in the Lexus, while none were reported for the Silverado. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available. Our thoughts are with those affected.
