What Risks Are Associated With E-Bike Crashes on City Roads?
E-bikes travel faster than traditional bicycles, which can increase the chance of injury during a crash. Riders often share the road with larger vehicles, making them more exposed during impacts.
Visibility can affect how drivers and riders interact. E-bikes may be harder to spot, especially near intersections or driveways where vehicles are turning.
Road position also matters. Riding near sidewalks or road edges can create conflict points when cars enter or exit nearby areas. Speed differences between vehicles and e-bikes can further increase the risk of collisions in busy traffic zones.
