Frequently Asked Questions
Does speed make a difference in how serious a crash turns out to be?
Yes. Higher speeds give drivers less time to react and increase the force involved in a collision, which usually leads to more serious injuries and more vehicle damage.
Why is distracted driving considered so risky?
Taking your eyes off the road for even a few seconds means a driver may miss a stopped car, a lane change or a pedestrian until it's too late to avoid a crash.
What should someone do right after being in a car accident?
Move to a safe spot if possible, call 911, check for injuries, and exchange information with the other driver. Photos of the scene and vehicle positions can help investigators later.
