The crash was reported at approximately 5:12 a.m. on January 4 and prompted an immediate response from Virginia Beach EMS.
According to dispatch information, the collision involved a red Mazda or Mitsubishi and a white Chevy. Emergency responders arrived to find two individuals injured at the scene. A woman in her 30s was reported to be conscious and breathing inside a gray SUV, while a man in his 60s or 70s had reportedly been briefly unconscious but had regained awareness by the time medics arrived.
Both victims were assessed and treated for their injuries on-site, with EMS likely transporting them to a nearby medical facility for further evaluation. The specific nature and extent of their injuries have not been publicly confirmed.
The crash caused a temporary disruption at the busy intersection as crews assisted the injured and cleared the vehicles. The roadway was reopened after responders completed their work.
