WACO, McLennan County, Texas, Oct. 31, 2026 — A 42-year-old man died on Thursday night, October 29, after being struck by two vehicles on Robinson Drive in Waco, according to Waco police.
Officers were called to the 2700 block of Robinson Drive around 7:40 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian crash. Investigators said the man was walking in the roadway when two vehicles hit him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have identified the man as Marcus Shelton, 42. His sister, Ashley Shelton, described him in a statement on behalf of the family as the oldest of four children with "a heart of gold" who was "unapologetically himself."
Both drivers stayed at the scene and are cooperating with the investigation, which Waco police said remains ongoing. No charges have been announced.
