The collision involved a white Tesla Model 3 and a white Nissan Altima, the CHP said.
The crash was reported shortly before 11 a.m., CHP radio logs show. One occupant of the Tesla, reportedly the husband of another person involved, was said to need an ambulance, and the call was transferred to Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, according to the agency's dispatch notes.
