WATSONVILLE, Monterey County, Calif., Sept. 23, 2026 — Two people suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening, September 22, on San Juan Road near Susan Street in Watsonville, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The California Highway Patrol said a sedan and a hatchback collided in the area of San Juan Road, close to the intersection with Susan Street. One person who called in the crash reportedly told dispatchers they felt disoriented at the scene, and both drivers had minor injuries, per the CHP.
Eastbound traffic on San Juan Road was completely shut down as crews responded, the CHP reported. Fire personnel treated two patients with minor injuries, and two tow trucks were called to clear the vehicles. One driver's car reportedly remained drivable, while the other driver stayed inside the vehicle awaiting help, according to radio traffic. The roadway was also reported as a partial hazard to passing traffic in the immediate aftermath.
