WESLEY HILLS, Rockland County, N.Y., Sept. 29, 2026 — A 38-year-old woman died Monday morning, September 28, in a crash involving a garbage truck on Route 202 in Wesley Hills, the Ramapo Police Department said.
The collision happened before 11 a.m. near the Wilder Road intersection, according to police. The woman was driving a Nissan that collided with the garbage truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene or shortly after, and her identity has not been released.
A passenger in the Nissan was hurt and taken to a hospital. A car seat was found inside the vehicle, but officers said no children were in the car at the time of the crash.
The garbage truck was operated by a driver for Carlo Minuto Carting.
