What to Do After a Car Accident in West Covina, CA
If you're involved in a crash on a freeway like I-10, try to move to the shoulder if the vehicle is drivable and it's safe to do so. Turn on hazard lights and stay inside the vehicle if you're stopped in a travel lane, since stepping out near moving traffic is dangerous. Call 911 to report the crash and request medical help if anyone feels pain or discomfort, even if it seems minor at first. Exchange information with the other driver and note any road or traffic conditions you noticed. Follow up with a doctor in the days after the crash, since some injuries don't show symptoms right away. Keep a copy of the CHP incident report for your records once it's available.
