WEST HARTFORD, Hartford County, Conn., Sept. 23, 2026 — A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a car Tuesday morning, September 22, at the intersection of Kane Street and Oakwood Avenue in West Hartford, Connecticut, police said.
West Hartford police said emergency crews responded to the intersection around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday after a car struck a man who was reportedly crossing Kane Street. Police Captain Aaron Vafiades said the pedestrian, an adult man, was alert and conscious after the crash.
The intersection of Kane Street and Oakwood Avenue was closed for several hours Tuesday while officers processed the scene.
