WESTLAKE DISTRICT, Los Angeles County, Calif., Sept. 28, 2026 — Two firefighters and a civilian were hospitalized on Saturday afternoon, September 26, after a structure fire spread across multiple buildings in the Westlake District of Los Angeles. All three were reported in stable condition.
The fire was reported just before 1 p.m. near 525 S. Union Avenue, east of MacArthur Park. The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that a fire that started outside spread into a two-story apartment building, a nearby house, and a recreational vehicle.
Firefighters pulled a civilian from one of the structures during the response. That person and two LAFD personnel were taken to hospitals afterward. The specific injuries were not disclosed.
