Wichita, KS (January 18, 2026) – An accident with injuries was reported at the intersection of South Main Street and West Zimmerly Street in Wichita, prompting a multi-unit emergency medical response.
The collision occurred around 11:03 a.m. on January 16. Dispatch audio confirmed that Medic 37 and additional crews responded from Kellogg and other nearby locations to assist at the scene. Medic 1 arrived on-site shortly after the call, and Medic 32 was cleared from St. Francis Hospital to assist as well.
While the number of individuals injured has not been disclosed, responders provided care to those hurt in the crash and facilitated transport as needed. The intersection, located in a residential area just southwest of downtown Wichita, experienced temporary delays as emergency crews worked the scene.
Authorities have not yet released details on the cause of the crash or the severity of injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
