Wichita, KS (January 15, 2026) – Emergency crews responded Wednesday afternoon to a reported crash involving injuries on the westbound lanes of Kellogg Dr near Hillside St in Wichita. The incident was reported just after 2:50 p.m., prompting a multi-unit response including Engine Eleven, Engine Five, Squad Five, and EMS teams.
The crash occurred west of Hillside but east of the on-ramp, with emergency access coordinated from Oliver Ave. First responders arrived swiftly and began assessing those involved. Initial reports indicated five individuals sustained minor injuries and ultimately declined transport after on-site medical evaluation. EMS, which had been en route, was later disregarded following these refusals.
Traffic flow in the area was briefly impacted while responders managed the scene and ensured the safety of those involved. Investigators are working to determine what led to the collision.
