Wilkinsburg, PA (January 12, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash on Frankstown Ave in Wilkinsburg left at least two people injured and one trapped inside their vehicle on the morning of January 12. Emergency crews, including Medic 1, Rescue 1, and local police, responded to the scene around 8:58 a.m.
The collision involved a white cargo van and a Toyota Corolla, both of which came to rest blocking traffic at the intersection. First responders reported that one occupant was pinned and required extrication. Rescue personnel began immediate efforts to free the individual while medics evaluated others at the scene for injury.
The full extent of the victims’ injuries has not been publicly confirmed, but the presence of entrapment and multiple patients elevated the response. Traffic was halted in the area as crews worked to secure the scene and tend to those involved.
