Frequently Asked Questions
Why is distracted driving so dangerous?
Taking your eyes off the road for even a few seconds reduces the time a driver has to react to sudden stops, turning vehicles, or hazards at an intersection, which raises the chance of a crash.
How do weather and road conditions contribute to crashes?
Wet pavement, glare, or poor visibility can affect stopping distance and a driver's ability to judge gaps in traffic, especially at intersections with multiple turning movements.
What to Do After a Car Accident in Winchester, CA
If you're involved in a crash in Winchester, start by making sure everyone is safe and calling for help. Stay at the scene until law enforcement arrives and get a copy of the report once it's available. Remember to take photos if you're able, and note any details while they're fresh, like traffic signals, weather, or what other drivers were doing. Afterward, see a doctor even if you feel fine at first, since some injuries from a crash don't show symptoms right away. Keep records of any medical visits or vehicle damage in case you need them later.
