Why Pedestrian Incidents Involving Trucks Can Be Fatal
Pedestrians struck by large trucks often face severe injuries due to the vehicle’s size and weight. Even at low speeds, the impact can be life-threatening.
Investigators typically examine vehicle positioning, the victim’s location, and whether safety measures or warnings were in place. Emergency response is critical, but serious injuries can occur instantly.
Residential roads and driveways can be hazardous if drivers do not see pedestrians nearby. Drivers are encouraged to remain alert and cautious in areas with limited visibility or where people may be present.
