Price Township, PA (June 21, 2026) – A serious two-vehicle collision in Price Township early on Friday morning, June 19, left one woman trapped inside her vehicle and ultimately required an air medical transport.

According to emergency dispatch reports, the crash occurred at approximately 1:31 a.m. along Route 447 near 3740 Route 447. Pennsylvania State Police, Stations 29 and 22, and EMS units responded to the scene following reports of a two-vehicle accident with confirmed heavy entrapment.

Initial reports indicated that a female occupant was trapped inside one of the vehicles and complained of leg injuries while being unable to move. The driver of the second vehicle was reportedly out of the vehicle and walking around following the crash.

A subsequent update from the scene advised that rescue personnel were requested to expedite their response due to the severity of the situation, with reports indicating the trapped woman was bleeding heavily and remained heavily entrapped.

Rescue crews worked to free the victim, and dispatch records later confirmed that she was successfully extricated from the vehicle at approximately 2:14 a.m.

Due to the seriousness of her injuries, a medical helicopter was requested and dispatched to the scene. Medevac personnel transported the injured woman to a trauma center for further treatment.

Authorities have not released the identities of those involved or additional details regarding the circumstances leading up to the crash. The incident remains under investigation.

We hope those injured in this collision make a full and speedy recovery.

Why Entrapment Crashes Require Specialized Rescue Operations?

Vehicle crashes involving entrapment frequently require specialized rescue equipment and highly trained emergency personnel. When occupants become trapped by crushed vehicle components, responders must carefully stabilize the vehicle and use hydraulic rescue tools to safely remove victims while minimizing the risk of additional injury.

These incidents result in extended road closures and may necessitate air medical transport when severe injuries are involved. Emergency responders coordinate closely with trauma centers to ensure critically injured patients receive advanced care as quickly as possible.

Investigators reviewing serious injury crashes typically examine vehicle damage, roadway conditions, witness statements, and physical evidence to determine the factors that contributed to the collision.
