Robbinsville, NJ (May 30, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to an accident scene where an 81-year-old woman died after a collision involving a passenger vehicle and a heavy-duty pickup truck on Route 130 near Woodside Road in Robbinsville, Mercer County. The crash occurred at about 2:36 p.m.
Police said multiple 911 calls reported a two-vehicle crash involving a wagon and a Ford F-250 utility body truck. When officers arrived, they found both vehicles with heavy damage consistent with a serious roadway collision. Emergency personnel extricated the woman from her vehicle before she was treated at the scene and taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton.
The victim, a Hamilton resident, later died at the hospital. Authorities have not released her identity pending family notification. This is a developing story. Our heartfelt sympathy is with the loved ones of the deceased.
Why Crashes Involving Heavy-Duty Trucks Can Be Especially Severe
Collisions involving larger vehicles such as utility trucks often result in significant force transfer due to their weight and size. When smaller passenger vehicles are involved, occupants may be at greater risk of serious injury.
Emergency extrication is sometimes required when damage prevents occupants from safely exiting a vehicle. In these situations, responders work carefully to stabilize patients before transport to medical facilities.
Investigators typically examine vehicle positions, roadway markings, and traffic conditions to understand how the crash developed. Factors such as speed, visibility, and right-of-way may also be reviewed as part of the ongoing analysis.
