Batavia, IL (August 5, 2026) – A 50-year-old woman was hospitalized on Monday, August 3, after seven vehicles were involved in a collision on Randall Road near Main Street. The incident was reported at approximately 6:53 a.m.
A Chevrolet Malibu struck the rear of a northbound Kia Sportage before moving into the southbound lane and contacting a Hyundai Tucson. The Tucson then spun into northbound traffic, where it hit two Ford F-150 pickup trucks and a Peterbilt semi-truck.
A southbound Lotus Evora swerved to avoid the developing wreck but was damaged by debris. Emergency units took the Tucson driver to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Three vehicles were towed from the roadway.
Investigators continue reviewing the accident. We hope the injured woman receives attentive care and recovers steadily.
