Bolton, NC (August 26, 2026) – A woman reportedly died on Monday evening, August 24, after a van struck a moped on Andrew Jackson Highway in Bolton.
According to Acme-Delco-Riegelwood Fire District Fire Chief Steve Camlin, the van driver struck the moped, which reportedly did not have reflectors. The woman riding the moped died at the scene.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the collision. Officials were also working to notify the victim’s next of kin. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones during this difficult time.
