Cary, NC (August 26, 2026) – A 76-year-old Cary woman died on Wednesday morning after being struck by an SUV on Ederlee Drive near Regency Parkway, according to Cary police. Soile Lazarz was pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts from first responders and bystanders who stopped to help.
The SUV’s driver and the driver’s children, who were passengers, remained at the scene. The road was closed through Wednesday afternoon for the investigation.
