Wooster, OH (January 7, 2026) – A serious two-vehicle collision resulted in multiple injuries and a complex extrication on Tuesday at the intersection of N Apple Creek Rd and Pleasant Home Rd, just outside Wooster in Wayne County.
According to initial emergency dispatch reports, one vehicle ended up on top of another following the impact, trapping at least one occupant inside. Bystanders at the scene reported the dramatic nature of the crash, prompting a swift response from area rescue crews. Central Fire was requested to provide mutual aid, including an additional rescue squad, to assist with the extrication process.
One person reportedly complained of chest pain, while another sustained abdominal injuries. Emergency responders worked diligently to access a third patient believed to be trapped in the vehicle pinned beneath the other. Crews actively used extrication tools to remove the individual safely from the wreckage.
The Ohio State Patrol was notified and responded to the scene. All patients were transported to nearby medical facilities for further treatment. The severity of the injuries has not been publicly confirmed, and the circumstances leading to the collision remain under investigation at this time.
