WYLIE, Collin County, Texas, Sept. 23, 2026 — A motorcyclist died Tuesday evening, September 22, after colliding with an SUV near South Ballard Avenue and Elm Drive in Wylie, according to police.
Wylie police officers and Wylie Fire Rescue crews responded around 6 p.m. to a crash. A 911 caller reported a man lying unresponsive on the ground.
Emergency crews performed life-saving measures at the scene, but the motorcyclist died there. Authorities identified him as Anthony Mills, 42, of Wylie.
The department's Accident Investigators and detectives from its Criminal Investigations Division responded to work to determine what led to the crash.
