What to Do After a Car Accident in Zion, Illinois
If you're involved in a crash, call 911 right away and stay as still as possible until help arrives, especially if you feel pain in your neck or back. Even if injuries seem minor at first, it's worth getting checked by a medical provider, since some injuries, like concussions or internal bleeding, don't show symptoms immediately. Exchange information with the other driver if it's safe to do so, and take photos of the vehicles and surrounding area if you're able. Cooperate with responding officers and request a copy of the police report once it's available, as it can matter later for insurance purposes. Above all, give yourself time to recover, both physically and emotionally, after a serious collision.
