Phoenix, AZ (July 26, 2026) – A man was left with life-threatening injuries following a multi-car collision in west Phoenix on July 24.
The crash happened at about 3:15 a.m. near 43rd Ave and Claremont St, just north of Bethany Home Rd. Emergency units arrived to find a man who had been ejected from one of the vehicles. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Investigators said several vehicles were involved, although the total number has not yet been confirmed. A woman was seen in handcuffs at the roadway, but no charges had been announced at the time of publication. One homeowner’s front-yard fence was damaged, and debris, including broken glass and vehicle parts, littered the street. One vehicle sustained severe damage to its driver’s side, while another came to rest in front of a nearby home.
The roadway remained closed in both directions along 43rd Ave between Bethany Home Rd and Maryland Ave as crews worked in the area.
Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision, and further updates are expected as more information becomes available.
