White Co., IN (August 29, 2026) – One person was killed, and four others were injured on Thursday evening, August 27, in a two-vehicle crash at Division Road and White County Road 1100 West near Wolcott.
According to Indiana State Police, the crash happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. A preliminary investigation found that an SUV was traveling north on County Road 1100 West when it entered the path of a pickup truck traveling west on Division Road.
Three people in the SUV were taken to hospitals for treatment. One of them was later pronounced dead. Authorities had not released the person’s identity pending notification of relatives.
Two people in the pickup truck were also taken to a hospital. The conditions of the surviving occupants were not immediately available.
An ISP crash reconstruction team responded to the scene, and the investigation remains ongoing. White County sheriff’s deputies, Wolcott police, local fire and EMS crews, and responders from Monticello assisted.
