West Palm Beach, FL (July 27, 2026) – A 33-year-old motorcyclist lost his life early on Saturday, July 25, after his motorcycle was struck from behind by a pickup truck on Southern Blvd in West Palm Beach.
The fatal collision happened at about 5 a.m. in the 8100 block of Southern Blvd. According to investigators, Eury Abreu Herrera was riding a Suzuki sport motorcycle westbound and had just entered the inside lane after exiting a parking garage when a Chevrolet Silverado traveling in the same direction hit the motorcycle from the rear.
The force of the crash threw Herrera from the motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene about six minutes later. The pickup truck came to a controlled stop in the median, and its driver was not hurt.
Investigators said alcohol or drugs were considered a factor for both Herrera and the Silverado driver. The cause of the collision remains under investigation as officials continue to gather evidence.
