Bay Harbor Islands, FL (July 27, 2026) – Three people were hurt after a boating mishap on Biscayne Bay near Bay Harbor Islands early on Saturday morning, July 25. The collision happened around 1 a.m. near West Broadview Drive and 103rd Street.
The three people who were aboard one of the vessels were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately released. The second boat involved was later found at the nearby Haulover Marina, though it remains unclear how many people were aboard or whether anyone else was hurt.
By about 9 a.m., much of the surrounding area remained closed off while crews worked to recover one of the boats, which was partially submerged with only its canopy visible above the water. A cable secured the vessel to a patrol vehicle to prevent it from sinking farther before it was safely removed from the bay. The cause of the boating crash remains under investigation as more information is gathered.
