Hardin County, KY (September 4, 2026) – A Louisville man died on Wednesday afternoon, September 2, after his vehicle crossed into the path of a semi on Joe Prather Highway, just north of KY 251, also known as Shepherdsville Road.
According to the sheriff, the man was traveling west when his vehicle entered the path of the semi. The two vehicles then collided head-on. The Louisville driver died at the scene, and the semi-driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Both directions of Joe Prather Highway remained closed for about an hour while the accident was cleared. Further details about the wreck were not immediately available, but it remains under review as the investigation continues.
