South Salt Lake, UT (September 13, 2026) – A person died after being found on September 11 lying in the roadway near 3200 S. 900 W. in South Salt Lake.
The person was located after officers were called to the area following reports of someone lying in the roadway. Emergency units pronounced the person dead at the site.
Police said the death appears to have resulted from a hit-and-run. It was not immediately confirmed whether the driver involved had been identified.
900 W. between 3100 S. and 3300 S. was closed in both directions while crews worked at the site. The identity of the deceased had not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The investigation into the collision remains underway as authorities work to determine what led to the death.
