San Antonio, TX (September 13, 2026) – A woman was critically injured Friday evening, September 11, after being struck by a vehicle while walking along SE Loop 410 in San Antonio. The crash happened around 8 p.m. in the 1000 block of the highway.
Police said the woman was walking on the highway, where pedestrians are prohibited. A vehicle traveling south was exiting the highway when the woman crossed its path. The driver attempted to brake but was unable to avoid the woman. She was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
The driver remained at the scene, and no criminal elements were identified in connection with the crash. The incident is actively under investigation.
