Temple Hills, MD (September 10, 2026) – A 20-year-old man died after an SUV struck him while he was riding an electric bicycle late Monday night, September 7, near St. Barnabas Rd and Stamp Rd.
The man and the SUV were traveling east on St. Barnabas Rd when the SUV hit him from behind, according to the report. The SUV driver then left without stopping.
The man died Tuesday from his injuries. Investigators believe the SUV may have been dark blue and could have front-end damage.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam or home surveillance footage is being asked to provide it to investigators. Information can be submitted to the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit at 301-731-4422 using case number 26-0047864.
Investigators are continuing to gather information to determine the circumstances surrounding the hit-and-run.
