Waldorf, MD (September 10, 2026) – Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning, September 9, at the intersection of Post Office Rd and Doolittle Dr.
Emergency units arrived around 9:14 a.m. after both people were found lying in the roadway. The driver reportedly said the vehicle had just completed a turn and was moving at a low speed when it struck the pedestrians.
One person had a bleeding head injury, while the other reported leg and back pain. Both remained conscious, alert, and breathing as they received assistance.
One pedestrian was taken to University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center with Priority 2 injuries. The other was taken to University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center with Priority 3 injuries.
Post Office Rd was temporarily closed while emergency units assisted those involved. Further details about the accident were not immediately available.
