Vestavia Hills, AL (August 23, 2026) – A man died after a multi-vehicle collision on I-459 North in Vestavia Hills. The wreck occurred at about 5:20 a.m. on August 21, when the vehicle he occupied caught fire following the collision.
The man was identified as George Nathu, 20, of Alabaster. He was the sole occupant of his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency units were called to the area following the accident. The investigation into what led to the collision remains ongoing.
