Columbus, OH (August 23, 2026) – A 54-year-old motorcyclist was killed on Friday evening, August 21, after a Jeep struck his motorcycle in southwest Columbus. The crash happened as he traveled south on Demorest Road toward Alkire Road.
The motorcyclist, Ronald Strader, was riding south when a Jeep traveling in the opposite direction attempted to turn left. The Jeep struck Strader, throwing him from the motorcycle. Strader was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Jeep driver and passenger were not injured. The incident remains under investigation. We extend our sincere condolences to Ronald Strader’s family and loved ones.
