Columbus, OH (September 6, 2026) – A pedestrian was hit by a car early on Saturday morning, September 5, on the city’s Southeast Side.
The incident occurred near Gender Rd and Nottinghill Trail Dr just before 7 a.m. The driver said they were traveling south on Gender Rd before sunrise during a heavy rainstorm.
According to the initial report, the driver did not immediately realize that a pedestrian had been struck. The adult victim was taken to a nearby hospital and later died.
The victim had not been publicly identified at the time of the report. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision remains underway.
