San Antonio, TX (September 14, 2026) – One person was hospitalized with burn injuries and a firefighter suffered minor injuries after an apartment fire Saturday, September 12, on San Antonio’s Northwest Side.
The fire broke out shortly before 10:30 a.m. in the 8700 block of Cinnamon Creek. San Antonio Fire Department crews found the fire on the first floor of a three-story apartment building. The main body of the fire was extinguished, and damage was contained to one unit.
The resident was found away from the building with burn injuries and was taken to a hospital. Several other residents reported minor injuries and were evaluated by first responders. A firefighter also suffered minor injuries.
Up to 12 apartment units were displaced because of the fire. A dog died in the incident. Additional information was not immediately available. Our thoughts are with the resident who suffered burn injuries, the other residents affected by the fire, and the injured firefighter.
