Fort Bend County, TX (July 21, 2026) – One person was hurt after a small plane crashed into a house near the Covey Trails Airstrip off the Westpark Tollway in Fort Bend County on Tuesday morning.
The aircraft went down at about 6:45 a.m. while apparently attempting to land at Covey Trails Airport, according to preliminary information. The pilot was the only person aboard and was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Katy for evaluation.
Multiple emergency agencies assisted at the property following the aviation accident. Investigators have not said what caused the aircraft to go down, and it has not been confirmed whether anyone inside the home was injured.
The cause of the plane crash remains under investigation, with additional details expected as more information is confirmed.
