Las Vegas, NV (August 4, 2026) – A pedestrian was left with life-threatening injuries after being struck by an SUV on Sunday evening along East Tropicana Avenue west of Koval Lane.
The incident happened at about 8:08 p.m. on August 2. According to investigators, a 2016 Land Rover Discovery was traveling east on Tropicana Avenue when a 45-year-old man crossed the road outside a marked or implied crosswalk and entered the SUV’s path. The front of the vehicle hit the man, throwing him onto the roadway.
Emergency units took the pedestrian to UMC Hospital, where medical staff determined his injuries were life-threatening. The driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. The identities of those involved, other than the pedestrian’s age and gender, have not been released.
Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision. We hope the injured man makes a full and speedy recovery.
