Martin County, FL (September 6, 2026) – A 76-year-old golf cart driver was injured after hitting the back of a tractor on Tropical Way in the Tropical Farms community. The incident happened before 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, according to the initial report.
The golf cart driver was ejected after striking the rear of the tractor. He was taken to a hospital before being flown to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce, according to sheriff’s spokesperson Christine Christofek.
Emergency units also came to Tropical Way following the accident. Further details about the collision were not immediately available.
The circumstances surrounding the wreck remain under investigation as additional information is gathered.
